Ryan (ライアン) is the co-founder and co-leader of Danshi Joshi Project. He is one of the founding members and a member of the First Generation along with Thea.

Currently in one of the project's major groups, Raspberryz.  His image color is 'Sunshine Yellow.'

He is known to be called Thea's Little Puppy or the Resident Puppy. He is currently the only male member of the project. Like Star, he also known for being shy but is also the most active member in the project. He is always finding more ways to improve his singing and his progress is seen with every new project release.

Biography

Pre-DJP

Ryan first started singing in 2007, when he got into the anime Mermaid Melody. He only ever sang to himself and never posted anything on the internet, but he did sometimes sing in front of his mom.

Being homeschooled, he didn't have a lot of social interaction, and his parents didn't encourage it, so he grew more withdrawn, but found something to look forward to in singing.

He also got into SeraMyu, the Sailor Moon musicals, in 2011 and that opened him up to the community, and he saw there were a few cover groups, and he learned about the concept of those.

In October of 2012, he joined the (now defunct, but revived as Galaxy Diamond) Jpop cover group Kaori Basket, and he is very close friends with it's founder, Mariko. (She also goes by Hikari.) His inspiration for joining was that of his H!P oshi, Kamei Eri: he wanted to change himself and become more open.

He helped out with KB a lot, and he learned how to mix better and better with each new release he did!

Later, in May of 2013, he joined KB's sister group, Mignon Project, and also helped out there as well.

In July, a few days before his 16th birthday, he joined the MM-BBS (as arcobaleno), and not too long afterwards, Thea made her return to the BBS.

One day, he was watching a few videos of another cover group he liked, Amai Fruit Project, on YouTube, and while watching their cover of Watashi ga Iu Mae ni Dakishimenakya ne by Juice=Juice, he happened to look at the names of the girls singing and seen, by chance, a "Thea ."

He recognized her name and he loved how beautiful her voice was, and, after 3 days of building up courage, he sent her a PM on the BBS, and she replied thanking him. They got to talking, and eventually they decided to open a cover group that also accepted guys as well as girls.

The idea had been cooking in both their heads for some time, but it finally came to fruition with DJP.

2013

Thea and Arco launched Danshi Joshi Project on September 2013 with the newly appointed Second Generation. He started out being in Minna Musu. and Rain=bow, but as some of the early members left and disappeared, more lineup changes occured.

And then, frustrated with his lack of singing ability and being the only male member, he took a brief hiatus from singing.

2014

He returned after the next single and continued with the project's regular activities, this time rejoining the groups °K~awaii and, due to popular demand, the group S/hineage, which had been scrapped earlier, due to lack of interest.

He changed his name within the group from Arcobaleno to Ryan.

On July 15th, 2014, the project released his first Birthday Solo [Ooki Hitomi ] . 

With the triple graduation, he decided to graduate from S/hineage, and is now solely a member of °K~awaii.

Trivia

• Michi and Star gave him the title of the Resident Puppy. 
• Michi ships Thea and Arco together and their ship name is, Leadershipping. Their ship song is Haru Beautiful Everyday, and they do a new version of it every 4+ months, starting from October of 2013, ironically before they were a couple.
• He gets along with Thea the most, but also really loves Yuzu, Cheonsa, Michi, Star, Yamyam, Sayumin and Val.
• Yuzuriha,Star and Michi acknowledge that his singing is improving. 
• Arco admits he stalked Thea before they officially talked for her beautiful voice. 
• He is a fan of SNSD and somewhat of the Group-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named (AKB48).
• He once disguised his voice by singing cutely, only to be discovered later, within the hour.
• He and Sayumin were both members of Mignon! Project.
• Has a huge interest in astrology, and has studied both Western and Eastern astrology in-depth. He doesn't believe it can tell the future, and instead uses it as a tool for psychology, since it seems to consistently be accurate about personalities.
• Incredibly obsessed with corgis. Whenever he sees any of them walk by him outside, he stares at them and imagines them as his own dog. Frequently envies Yuzu because of how cute Peachy is.
• Though he's an only child, he considers his mother to be his older sister, since she's always played that role.
• When he knows someone's favorite member of a group, he'll give them their lines when color-coding.
• Considered JAsher his rival when he was in the group, since they had similar voices, but JAsher had Broadway vocal training and had great control and stability.
• Though shy at first, tends to easily monopolize any conversation by yapping without stopping for air.
• He shocked Cheonsa with his socialness, since she had gotten the image of him being the silent type.
• All of his H!P oshis are the ones who have been shown to have very kind sides to them. He also loves the poison tongue and yankee types, who remind him of Thea.
• He is impossible to offend. The only things that make him mad is picking on his loved ones and friends, and being a bigoted bully in general.
• Once did a duet with his mother, singing Morning Musume's Morning Coffee back in 2012. She did backup while he did the main vocals, but she sang so quiet that you could barely hear her, since she's shy about anyone hearing her voice.
• Has the weirdest sense of humour within the group, and frequently tells jokes that fall completely flat.
• Is the only member besides Yuzu to have done every edition of the "Wasting Your Time" about-me question survey so far.
• He is a claustrophile. (Someone who likes really small spaces; the very polar opposite of claustrophobia)
